  • Automatic Alt Text (AAT) for photos, a technology that can describe the contents of photos for people who are visually impaired
  • Captions are currently able to describe objects
  • Expanding the abilities to include 12 Actions, which will create ability to describe scene and some context
• Emojis Lead to Higher Engagement on Instagram
  • Not only is there an ever-expanding standard emoji library, there are platform-specific emojis and branded emojis, as well.
  • Half of all Instagram posts include Emojis
  • Overall emoji use is up 19 percent
  • Emoji study leads to higher interaction
• Facebook Video Updates and Improvements
  • These updates include autoplay sound that “fades in and out” and the option to minimize Facebook videos to a “picture-in-picture view” as you continue to scroll through the news feed
  • Large scale viewing at home using the TV app; expected to roll out “soon” to app stores for Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, and Samsung Smart TV
